Example 1: Find the actual profit and selling price of a cap bought for #250 and sold at a profit of 20%.
Solution
Actual price = 20 x 250

Profit =#50
Selling price= cost price + profit
Selling price =#250 + #50 =#300
Example 2: Find the percentage profit for a good bought for #300 and sold for #345
Profit = s.p – cp
= #345 -#300 =#45
% profit = 45 x 100%
300 1 = 15%
